Does anyone know if any of the bitcoin core contributors have ever offered practical / hands-on development lessons to help with the learning curve?

I'm a computer science grad who just finished the "Mastering Bitcoin" book and still have some pretty foundational questions about Bitcoin that could be greatly accelerated if someone involved in the project was open to doing something like a weekly video chat lesson – at this point I'd probably pay to just watch them develop, interact with the community etc, assuming I could ask a few questions along the way.
