I've been lurking around the cryptocurrency subreddits for almost a year now (mainly r/Bitcoin), trying to get a grasp of what the phenomenon really is about. I got introduced to bitcoin in 2014 and even have a wallet from that time, but nothing was in it since I never cared to continue then.
But today I decided I've been lurking enough posts, watching enough YouTube videos and reading enough papers about cryptocurrency that I wanted to participate!
In the first 10 minutes after the transaction I was in a mixed state of "I've never gonna see that money again" and "oh the price went up I'm gonna get rich!" But it soon came down to some sort of chaotic calm, an epiphany where I suddenly understood the meaning of HODL.
